estimated UK ad spend wasted today by slow lead response
Based on Lead Response Management research and UK SME digital ad spend data.
Respondingtoaleadwithin60secondsincreasesconversionbyupto391%.Mostbusinessesreplyinhours.Someneverreplyatall.Everyunansweredenquiryisrevenuethatwalkedstraighttoacompetitor.
Most business owners already know something is wrong. They just can't see exactly where. After sitting with dozens of businesses across trades, construction, manufacturing, and services, these are the four places we consistently find it.
Responding to an enquiry in under 60 seconds delivers a 391% lift in conversion. When teams are on site or busy, inbound calls and forms sit unanswered for hours. Every delayed reply is revenue walking straight to the competitor who answered first.
Surveys get conducted, but quotes take days of manual desk work to compile, calculate, and send. Without automated follow-up sequences, high-value proposals go quiet while directors get swallowed by the next urgent operational fire.
Job scheduling, compliance documents, invoicing, and fragmented WhatsApp chains. Skilled technicians and key directors spend 10 to 15 hours every week re-keying data between inboxes, spreadsheets, and software instead of delivering billable work.
Failing to trigger instant review requests after a 5-star job, or missing automated service renewals. Competitors are building AI assets that compound; operating manually means your payroll must grow linearly just to maintain output.
Generic AI tools are built for everyone, which means they're perfectly suited to no one. We build to how each industry actually operates: the right language, the right workflows, the right outcomes.
Tender tracking and response assistance, subcontractor communication automation, document routing, and variation tracking.
Automated purchase order extraction into Sage, Xero, or your ERP of choice, BOM pricing, custom quoting, and 3-way supplier invoice reconciliation.
Commercial DNO/G99 application triage, lead qualification by property type, automated site survey booking, and compliance tracking.
Seasonal demand handling, inbound triage for residential vs commercial, automated service contract renewals, and PPM scheduling.
Missed call text-back, after-hours AI voice coverage, automated quote follow-up, and review automation for high-volume electrical and plumbing teams.
Automated enquiry qualification, case intake fact-finding, document verification, and CRM data orchestration for boutique firms.
Most businesses do not have a lead volume problem. They have an operations leak. Use the model below to estimate the hours and margin you could realistically get back each month.
£2,200 in admin time plus £2,646 of margin on enquiries currently going cold.
6 people × 7 hrs × 4.33 weeks = 182 admin hours a month. We assume 55% of that is automatable in construction & trades, costed at £22/hr fully loaded.
Separately, about 4.2 of your 35 monthly enquiries go cold through slow follow-up. Valued at gross margin on a £3,500 job, not headline revenue.
These are sector averages, not a promise. The point is the order of magnitude. A scoping call replaces them with your actual numbers.
Direct conversation with the person who would build it. No pitch decks.
